The
Tumbleweed Tiny house workshop I went to in October mentioned that poly-iso insulation was a really good choice for a tiny house. I really dislike living in poorly insulated houses and so I went with the best insulation I could afford. So I bought poly-iso insulation last March from
Z-Insulation. This is seconds from a factory so it was substantially cheaper than if I had purchased it from Home Depot or Lowes. I wasn't able to get it into the walls until December and I had a lot of help from Matt in getting it into the walls. I know it is a little weird to love your insulation, but it makes the house so quiet and warm and I am really happy with my choice.
Each board was about an inch and 3/4 thick
so I would cut and put in one board at a time
What it looked like with a second board.
Layers are how we stay warm.
Also, I used the rigid insulation board as a door
during the winter. It really kept the weather out and the house nice and warm.
